Questions before
the road?

Every move is different. These are the questions customers ask most often.

How much does it cost to ship a vehicle?

Pricing depends on distance, vehicle size and condition, transport type, timing, and route availability. Request a quote for a route-specific estimate.

How long does vehicle transport take?

Timing varies by mileage, carrier routing, weather, and pickup flexibility. We’ll explain the expected window before scheduling.

What is the difference between open and enclosed transport?

Open transport is the most common and economical choice. Enclosed transport offers added protection for classics, luxury, exotic, or specialty vehicles.

What should I do before pickup?

Remove personal belongings, document the vehicle’s condition, leave about a quarter tank of fuel, and make sure the carrier can access the pickup location.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

The assigned carrier should provide cargo insurance for the transport. Review the carrier’s coverage before pickup, photograph the vehicle, and inspect it again at delivery before signing the condition report.

Can I ship an inoperable vehicle?

Often, yes. Tell us before quoting if the vehicle does not run. It should roll, steer, and brake unless specialized equipment is arranged, and additional handling can affect the price.

Can I put personal items inside the vehicle?

Personal belongings are generally discouraged and are not covered by the carrier’s cargo insurance. Any permitted items must be disclosed and may be limited by the carrier.

Does someone need to be present at pickup and delivery?

Yes. You or an authorized adult should release and receive the vehicle, review its condition with the driver, and sign the inspection report at both ends.

Can you pick up from an auction or dealership?

Yes, when the release paperwork, hours, vehicle condition, and contact information are confirmed in advance. Storage deadlines should also be shared before scheduling.

What affects the pickup date?

Carrier availability, route demand, weather, vehicle size, access at each location, and how flexible the pickup window is can all affect scheduling.

How does payment work?

Payment terms should be confirmed in writing before dispatch. Review when each amount is due, which payment methods are accepted, and the cancellation terms before scheduling.

Is door-to-door transport literally driveway to driveway?

It means the carrier gets as close to the requested addresses as safely and legally possible. Low branches, narrow streets, weight limits, or local restrictions may require meeting at a nearby accessible location.
